POPIA Position Statement - Analytic Insights

Analytic Insights (Pty) Ltd is committed to responsible data processing and the highest standards of data governance. Our operating model is designed to align with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and internationally recognised principles of lawful, ethical, and secure data processing.

Role and Responsibility

Analytic Insights operates strictly as a customer intelligence and analytics service provider. We do not act as a data broker, credit bureau, or data reseller. Clients remain the Responsible Party in terms of POPIA and retain full accountability for ensuring lawful collection, consent, and processing of personal information supplied to our platform.

Lawful Processing and Purpose Limitation

All data processed by Analytic Insights is client-supplied and processed solely for defined, legitimate, and agreed analytical purposes. Processing activities are limited to the enrichment of client-owned datasets through the generation of derived indicators and insights.

Data Minimisation and Non-Disclosure

Analytic Insights does not sell, trade, distribute, or expose personal information, identity numbers, or contact lists. No raw personal data is commercialised. Outputs delivered to clients consist of derived intelligence variables only.

Security Safeguards

Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are implemented to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, or unlawful processing. Access to data is restricted, auditable, and governed by internal controls and policies.

Retention and Destruction

Personal information is retained only for the duration necessary to fulfil agreed analytical purposes and is not repurposed beyond defined processing scopes. Secure disposal practices are applied where applicable.

Accountability and Transparency

Analytic Insights maintains internal accountability for its role as an Operator under POPIA and supports transparency in how data is processed. Clients and partners may rely on this statement as an accurate reflection of our data protection posture.
